Description
Cometa Eolo Neox
This year we have tried to develop a complementary high end stunt kite for our Over, with a similar flight technique, to avoid the pilots an aggressive change from one kite to the other; but the new Neox has an even more pure Freestyle behaviour.
Technical data:
Its reduced spine and weight, of only 278gr., drastically improve tricks on its vertical axis, what means more agility both in strong and light wind.
The bridle – an “inverse turbo”- that can be adjusted to a 3 point bridle allows the pilot flying this kite in a very wide wind range, from 5km/h to 40km/h. It has a V shaped bridle on the upper part of the kite, what makes some of the most innovative freestyle tricks –as the crazy copter- easier. This system also better distributes the pressure made on the leading edge rods, avoiding that these may get damaged.
Its 2,14m wingspan makes it a kite of complete size; Neox would have had 2,32m wingspan if it had not trimmed wingtips. But this fact not only does not affect its flight behaviour but makes it very difficult for lines to get tangled.
Production model already has two weights of 11gr. and 16gr., which can be hidden inside the conical DT15 rod and are easily interchangeable depending on wind conditions and/or each pilot’s flight preferences.
Neox has a completely dacron covered leading edge, both at the upper and the lower spreader, just with windows for connectors. This avoids that lines get tangled.
Conical DT15 & DT18 dynamic rods with internal reinforcement to improve their rigidity.
New wisker connectors and caps to avoid that wiskers rip the sail and to make the assembly easier.
Dacron extra reinforcements at the trailing edge to avoid wear and tear of the sail itself.
New auto-adjustable system to control sail tightness; trailing edge tensioning cord to reduce kite’s speed or to tense sail and by these means avoid noise while flying.
New high end sport bag of reduced size with separate inside pockets for the winder and the rods, therefore avoiding damages on the kite’s sail.
Ventex and mylar sail 30gr/m2.
